Your skincare guide during monsoons

Your skincare guide during monsoons

Our skin demands more attention and care with the change in weather. And, when it comes to the monsoon season, the skin is all the more susceptible to infections. So, before the season takes a toll on your skin, gear up with your monsoon guide for a glowing skin:
•    Humid weather is the best time for fungus and bacteria to breed on your skin. Keep your skin as dry as possible and use a good anti-fungal soap and powder. Take special care in keeping the folds of skin clean.
•    The skin generally produces a lot of oil during this weather. Dust and pollutants easily stick onto the skin, making it look dull. It’s advisable to clean your face each time you come from outside, in order to keep your skin dirt-free. Make sure to carry a pack of wet tissue wipes for the purpose.
•    Boil neem leaves and strain; and add this mixture in your bathing water. Its anti-bacterial properties will help combat skin infections and help you get rid of body odour. You can also use rose water drops or lemon juice for smelling fresh throughout the day.
•    Body tends to lose its natural fluids during this season. Make sure you drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from within. Adding a dash of lemon juice in your daily intake of fluids is also recommendable for acne-free skin.
•    Apart from that, refrain from wearing too much of make-up during monsoons. Since, the skin is constantly producing too much of oil, cosmetics will anyway not stick onto your skin. And, if you have to, invest in water-based and water-proof products and rub ice on your skin before their application.
