The letter was to Sarabjit's sister, Dalbir Kaur through his counsel Awais Sheikh. Awais Sheikh was in India as a part of 'Hind-Pak dosti mela'. In the letter he complained of pain in left leg, he fears may be due to adulteration in food.

Fearing for his life, Sarabjit's sister has complained to the PM Manmohan Singh. She has requested PM to intervene and instruct the Indian High commission to take stalk of the situation and get Sarabjit's medical examination done.

In the letter, Sarabjit Singh complained about jail officials not giving him medicines and not allowing him to visit the other Indian prisoners.

Earlier, Sarabjit was allowed to visit other Indian prisoners every Saturday and Sunday.

Sarabjit has written another letter to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, requesting her to arrange a visa for his family members in India so that they could visit Pakistan to meet them in jail.
