Vodka and wine make hair and skin shine

London: Having a sip of vodka or wine are not only helpful in making you go tipsy, but also have some added benefits. As, a glass of wine is not just good for the heart, but also contains ingredients that are helpful for our skin and hair too, as it contains antioxidants.
And, it’s this reason that is making many beauty companies incorporate extracts from popular drinks like champagne, beer, vodka, cider and wine into their formulations.
According to Daily Mail, "The grape extracts from champagne provide antioxidant protection from the free radicals which can prematurely age skin," said Sarah Adam, beauty buyer for QVC Skincare, talking about champagne.
"They also help balance out uneven pigmentation," she explained.
Well, it’s not just wine that makes you beautiful, in fact, proteins from beer hops help add volume to hair, boosting shine and even stopping frizz.
"Hops can have antibacterial, astringent and toning properties on the skin too," skincare expert Esther Cooney explained.
While, Vodka works best for the skin, as it tones, brightens, cleanses and polishes the skin, said Rowena Bird, co-founder and product inventor at Lush.
