Treadmills
The basic equipment for any gym is a treadmill. It takes care of cardio exercises, and has two segments — commercial and home. The latter has a less running area and can be installed according to user-specification and type. The commercial treadmill, however, has a more powerful motor and a bigger running area. Brands like Johnson, Matrix and Horizon are some of the preferred ones. The home treadmill ranges between Rs40,000 and Rs2 lakh, whereas the commercial ones starts from Rs2 lakh and go up to Rs10 lakh.
Multi-gyms
With tight working schedules, it’s tough to visit the gym regularly. Instead, one can opt for some home multi-gym equipment, which provide quality strength-training on a single machine. Multi-gyms are most popular with people who like to work out at home. They vary in cost from Rs15,000 to Rs75,000.
Power-plates
A new trend in exercising, taking the market by storm, is the introduction of vibration system gym equipment. They are equipped with powerful automatic vibrators, which increase blood circulation to tone up the body. These machines can be used by anyone and sell like hot cakes. The power plate equipment range from Rs10,000 to Rs80,000.
Power massager
Another revolution in gym equipment is the power massager. You can be as lazy as you want because these machines do the workout for you. One can either sit or stand, as the machine itself gives an impact of side jumps apart from the vibrations. It costs between Rs13,000 and Rs30,000, depending on the needs of the customer.
Other gym accessories
Sundry gym equipment, like steppers, gym ball, leg massagers and massage chairs are used often, at home and at the gym. These equipment are equally important while exercising. Steppers cost around Rs1,200, whereas gym balls are approximately Rs500. Leg massagers are priced around Rs1,000 and a massage chair may set you back by Rs1.5 lakh.
