Tata Group firm Roots Corporation Ltd. planned 5 more Ginger Hotels

Tata Group firm Roots Corporation Ltd. (RCL) on 11 July 2012 planned five more Ginger Hotels. The five hotels are likely to be inaugurated in metro and Tier I cities. RCL functions in the field of hospitality sector.

The decision was taken due to growing demand in domestic travel industry. Ginger is likely to invest 50 crore rupees to open 5 Ginger hotels in the country. Currently, it works in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Durg, Goa, Guwahati, Haridwar, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Mysore, Nasik, New Delhi, Pantnagar, Pondicherry, Pune-Pimpri, Pune-Wakad, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara, Surat, Chennai, Manesar and Vivek Vihar.




Roots Corporation (RCL) operates the Ginger chain of hotels. It is completely owned subsidiary of Indian Hotels Corporation (IHCL). RCL has 25 assets in the country. It was established in 2003 and runs the first-of-its-kind Smart Basics hotels across India.
